The Pacific Region International Summer Music Association (PRISMA) was founded in October 2012. Every year, the PRISMA Festival and Academy unites world-renowned guest artists with top international music students for two weeks of musical exploration by the sea. Only at PRISMA can you see an 80-piece symphony take shape right before your eyes, along with guest appearances by members of the most prestigious orchestras in Canada, the US and the world.

The PRISMA Festival & Academy offers an in-depth orchestral training program that provides advance music students with the essential tools to win a position in a professional orchestra.

In a supportive learning environment 80 students each year perform orchestral masterworks. Recent repertoire has included masterworks by Rimsky-Korsakov, Bartók, Boulanger, Smetana, Mozart, and more.

Over 5,000 concertgoers attend the annual PRISMA Festival in Powell River, British Columbia, which features daily musical events, symphony and chamber music concerts, masterclasses, and recitals.
The PRISMA Festival starts in mid-June and takes place in Powell River, BC.
